PROJECT - UPDATING OF PERSONAL DATA OF CITIZENS AS USERS OF PUBLIC SERVICES

The Directorate for Personal Data Protection, EVN Macedonia, Heat Supply Balkan Energy Group LLC - Skopje, PE Water Supply and Sanitation - Skopje and Macedonian Radio Television started a joint project WITH TRUST TOWARDS SERVICE whose activities are aimed to update the collections of personal data of citizens as service users as well as their obligations to provide personal data in the context of the exceptions to the application of the Law on personal data protection.

The companies that provide public services are responsible for the processing of personal data of users and for the period of their storage, but users also have an obligation to provide accurate and complete data and to inform themselves about the rest of the obligations under the laws and contracts concluded.

Personal data of the users should be processed fairly and in accordance to the law and to be adequate, relevant and not excessive in relation to the purposes for which they are collected and processed. For full respect for this principle, updating personal data will be done by filling out a form that will be submitted to citizens along with the accounts, and which citizens will be able to leave in the marked boxes at any of the toll stations of EVN Macedonia, Heat Supply Balkan Energy Group Ltd. - Skopje or PE Water Supply and Sanitation Skopje.

Through this project , the Directorate for Personal Data Protection, EVN Macedonia, Heat Supply Balkan Energy Group LLC - Skopje, PE Water Supply and Sanitation - Skopje and Macedonian Radio Television, highlight the common commitment to achieving uniform protection of personal data of citizens through equitable treatment and updating of personal data in public services throughout the territory of the Republic of Macedonia and further development and raise of the level of cooperation in the future, better protection of the citizens as well as raising the social responsibility of public services providers toward citizens and the community.
