Direct marketing

The controller that keeps a collection of personal data cannot process the personal data unless the citizen has previously given a consent in writing about the use of personal data for the purposes of direct marketing (Article 13-a in the Law on Personal Data Protection).

The controller shall previously notify the citizen about the intention and legal basis for processing personal data for the purposes of direct marketing.

The citizen has the right to submit a request in writing to the controller at any time for the data referring to him not to be used for the purposes of direct marketing. The request should include personal data for his/hers identification, the purpose of processing the personal data, the deadline when you want the processing to end, etc.
